• Sean McGee

    Founder & General Manager

    Sean McGee founded Mental Toughness in the Spring of 2021, where he had a goal of using basketball to spread mental health awareness. His duties are to assemble the staff and team as well as host camps and events.

    From 2020-2022, McGee served as a graduate assistant coach at Manhattanville College where he helped the Valiants reach the Skyline Championship game along with a 17-10 overall record. He also assisted in the development of Tommy Lotito who was voted First Team all-conference.

    Also, during the 2021-22 season, he worked with Hoop Group as a recruiting coordinator and camp coach. He facilitated sales for individual campers and AAU teams. Additionally, McGee was a coach for the New Jersey Shoreshots AAU program. In the summer of 2021, he was an assistant with the 17U Hoop Group showcase league team, where he helped place countless players in college programs.

    In 2020, McGee received a Bachelors in Sports Communications and Journalism from Marist College. While at Marist for three years, he served as the team’s head manager under coach John Dunne. He worked closely with the staff and was the head of film, where he recorded games or practices daily.

  • Sean Clores

    Assistant Coach & Camp Coordinator

    Sean Clores was an assistant coach with Mental Toughness last summer and will be joining again for the summer of 2023. Clores coordinates camps and fundraising efforts as well as being an assistant coach.

    Sean Clores just finished his third season as an assistant coach for the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons. He is involved in all aspects of the program including recruiting, scouting, practice, and game preparation.

    In 2019, Clores was the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at The City College of New York. While with CCNY, he played a key role in the development of the CUNYAC Rookie of the Year. His team ended the season with wins over Division II bound College of Staten Island and CUNYAC champions, Brooklyn College. Additionally, the team was recognized by the NABC for academic excellence.

    Before CCNY, Clores was on Tobin Anderson’s staff at Division II powerhouse, St. Thomas Aquinas. During the 2018-19 season, STAC was ranked #12 nationally with a 25-7 overall record, advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16. Clores helped develop Demetre Roberts, Grant Singleton, and Osbel Caraballo who received All-Conference Honors.

    Clores started coaching at the collegiate level at John Jay College under Ryan Hyland from 2012-15.

  • Kyle Pope

    Assistant Coach & Director of Media

    Kyle Pope was an assistant coach with Mental Toughness last summer and will be joining again for the summer of 2023. Additionally, Pope is our director of Media where he creates graphics and content for our social media accounts.

    Kyle Pope is currently a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg University studying exercise science. His responsibilities include recruiting, player development, and social media management.

    Pope was a player at Saint Vincent College, where he transitioned to a student assistant in 2021. These past two summers he has worked with the Hoop Group, a prestigious grassroots basketball company. He was in charge of recruiting thousands of players to camp as well as organizing and managing AAU tournaments.

  • Andrew Lull

    Director of Operations

    Andrew Lull was our Director of Basketball Operations last summer and will be joining again for the summer of 2023. Lull handles travel logistics, day-to-day operations, and sponsorship placement.

    Lull is the founder of Perspective Analytics, where he worked with basketball programs offering them advanced analytics. He has also worked with ESPN in the past where he developed their "Giants vs Killers" algorithm to predict March Madness upsets.

    Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University 2021-22, where he did travel logistics, operations, and player development. Lull also interned at HoopGroup, a prestigious grassroots basketball company, where he recruited thousands of players to camp while also being the housing director in the summer of 2021.
